How to edit a PDF document on Mac? If you open Libre Office and immediately try to open a PDF in Writer (the Word alternative), it might get confused. The magic happens in a different app that comes with the suite: Libre Office Draw.
It’s pretty straightforward. Here is how to edit a PDF document on Mac:
1. Get Libre Office: Download it.
2. Launch the Right App: Open Libre Office Draw. Don't open Writer.
3. Open your PDF: Go to File > Open and select your PDF. Draw will import it.
4. Edit the content:
- To change text: Just double-click a paragraph. You can now type over it, change the font, or resize the box.
- To move something: Click and drag an image or a text box to a new spot.
- To delete something: Click on the annoying logo or line and hit the delete key.
- To add something: Use the Insert menu to add a new image or text box.
5. Save it back to PDF: You can't just hit Cmd+S (that saves it as an editable Draw file). You have to "export" it. Go to File > Export As > Export as PDF. Name your new file, and you're done.
