How to convert avif to jpg for free:

 

Step 1: Launch GIMP from the Start menu or desktop shortcut Click on File > Open. Navigate to the location of your AVIF file, select it, and click Open.

 

Step 2: Once the AVIF file is open in GIMP, click on File > Export As. In the Export Image dialog, navigate to the location where you want to save the file. In the Name field, change the file extension to .jpg (e.g., output.jpg). Click Export.

 

Step 3: A new dialog will appear with JPG export options. Adjust the quality slider if needed (higher quality means a larger file size). Click Export to complete the conversion.

 

Your AVIF file is now converted to JPG and saved in the specified location. This method ensures you maintain control over the image quality and other parameters during the conversion process.
