How Can I Upgrade Windows 10 to Windows 11 on unsupported hardware?
- Mar 18, 2025
1. Download Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft.
2. Make a Windows 11 bootable USB with WiinBootMate. This will bypass Windows 11 system checks.
3. Go to the USB drive and run setup.exe.
4. Now, you can start a clean install from USB or choose in-place upgrade by running the setup.exe from the USB drive without losing data.

I know how to upgrade to Windows 11 on unsupported PC:
- Download the Windows 11 ISO (you can choose any version you want).
- If you using 24H2 ISO, skip this step, use a ISO creator like Alcohol 120 Free, open the ISO, go to \sources, delete appraiserres.dll or replace it by a modifed appraiserres.dll you downloaded and save the image.
- Mount the ISO.
- If you using 23H2 or earlier, skip this step, open Command Prompt, locate to you virtual CD drive (example: D:), after go to your CD, run setup /product server.
- Follow the install assistant, I recommend you keep your files, setting and apps, and wait.
- Done, you have Windows 11 on unsupport hardware now.
(Bonus) The registry is only work if you reinstall by a USB, they don't work in normal Windows, only use this if you like to reinstall Windows by a USB.
Good luck on your XPS 13, don't belive "professionals" are advise you to buy a new PC, they are noobs are acting like pros, don't spend money on a new PC, unless you need because your PC can run it smoothly and can use well to 7-10 years and more.
