For Windows 7, try the SnipTake tool for simple screenshots. It's simple, has extra editing features, and works great on Windows 11 and 10. I've been using this tool for almost two years! I like it!

If you have Microsoft OneNote installed, you can take screenshots in Windows 7 directly using it. Press Windows Key + Shift + S to activate OneNote’s screen clipping feature. After selecting the area you want to capture, OneNote will open with your screenshot ready for further annotation and organization.
