How can I install Windows 11 with local account? I don't want to use microsoft account

It is my personal computer and I don't use Microsoft OneDrive as well. I already installed Windows 11 on one PC with a Microsoft account but took too much for downloading and syncing data. I don't want to use Microsoft account anymore for Windows 11 installation on the rest of PCs.

I am going to use Windows 11 24H2 ISO. Please recommend me a working way to install Windows 11 with local account. Not Microsoft account!

Thanks

I'd like to share with you a practical way to bypass the Microsoft account requirement by disconnecting from the Internet with the help of the Windows 11 installer, which is completely free of charge. In this way, you can install Windows 11 with local account without Microsoft account, so that you can easily configure your system and account according to your needs.

Installation of Windows 11 disconnect from the Internet to bypass the Microsoft account requirements, easy to operate, suitable for users who do not have access to the Internet to install, but to grasp the timing of disconnecting from the Internet. The installation interface is a familiar Windows standard style, intuitive and easy to understand. Installation time is about 20 to 60 minutes, depending on the hardware.

  • Installing Windows 11 with a local account can be a bit tricky since Microsoft really wants you to use a Microsoft account, but it’s totally doable! Here are some common errors I’ve seen and a few tips to steer clear of the headaches:

    1. When you get to the account setup part, you might not see the option for "Offline Account" right away. Instead, look for a small link that says "Limited Experience" or something similar. It can be easy to miss and just click through, ending up with a Microsoft account by mistake.

    2. If you’re connected to the internet during setup, Windows will push you to use a Microsoft account. So, disconnect your internet (turn off Wi-Fi or unplug the Ethernet cable) before you start the installation.

    3. Make sure to note down your local account details somewhere safe or set up security questions if prompted. If you forget your password, recovering access to your local account can be more complicated compared to a Microsoft account.

    4. After install Windows 11 with local account, Microsoft will throw a bunch of privacy settings at you. Take your time and customize these instead of just clicking "Next" or "Accept." You don’t want Windows gathering more data than you’re comfortable with.

WinBoootMate. One of the best utilities for Windows installation that acts like an intelligent assistant, avoiding installation problems in advance and making the process smoother. Although the configuration of Rufus is a bit technical, its operation is efficient. Its interface is simple and its options are easy to understand. Creating a USB flash drive is fast and installing the system takes a normal amount of time.

It automatically bypass Windows 11 system requirements and allows installing Windows 11 with a local account, eliminating the need to manually disconnect from the Internet, and its stability is guaranteed thanks to its wide user base.

Step 1: Insert a USB flash drive of at least 8GB. Double-click the desktop shortcut to allow it to run without installation.

Step 2: In the Device drop-down menu, select USB flash drive and tap Select, navigate to Windows 11 ISO and tap Open. Select GPT for the partition scheme and UEFI for the target system.

Step 3: Click Start, a customization window will pop up, check "Remove Microsoft account requirements for Windows 11." Tap OK, and wait for the USB flash drive to finish

Step 4: Reboot the computer, enter BIOS (F2/F12/Del), and set the USB flash drive as the preferred boot item.

If you have trouble skipping the Microsoft account setup, you can disable your network connection during installation:

    • When prompted to connect to a network, either disconnect the Ethernet cable if you are using a wired connection or skip connecting to Wi-Fi if you are on Wi-Fi.
    • You will then see an option to continue with a local account.

When it comes to install Windows 11 with local account. If you want a more automated approach, you can create an answer file  (unattended XML) that specifies a local account. This is more advanced and intended for IT professionals or users familiar with Windows deployment.

After you install Windows 11 with a local account, make sure to configure Windows settings according to your preferences and install any necessary drivers and software.  Always remember to keep your system backed up and secure, especially when using a local account, as you won't have the recovery options tied to a Microsoft account.

How to install windows 11 with local account?

    1. You need the Windows 11 installation media. I whipped up a USB drive with the Windows Media Creation Tool. Just head over to Microsoft’s website, grab that tool, and follow the prompts to create a bootable USB. Make sure you have at least 8GB of space!
    2. Once you’ve got the USB ready, plug it into your PC and restart it. You might need to hit a function key (like F12 or Esc, depending on your system) to get into the boot menu to select the USB drive. It’s like a little adventure in figuring out the keys—think of it as unlocking a digital treasure chest!
    3. Now you’ll see the Windows 11 setup screen. Select your language and keyboard layout—this part is super simple. Then hit “Next” and “Install now.”
    4. When it asks for a product key, you can just click “I don’t have a product key” or something similar. Windows 11 will still let you install windows 11 with local account, and you can deal with the activation later if you want.
    5. Next, you’ll see options for different editions like Home or Pro. Pick the one that fits your needs. If you’re just using it for basic tasks, Windows 11 Home is usually good enough.
    6. Now here’s where it gets a bit tricky. During the setup, you’ll hit the Microsoft account screen. Don’t be alarmed; remember that you wanted to create a local account!
    7. Click on “Sign-in options,” and look for “Offline account” or “Local account.” You might have to scroll down a bit or click some links. Microsoft really wants you to use an online account, but you can totally bypass it.
    8. After choosing the offline account option, it’ll prompt you to create a username and password. Choose something you’ll remember (but not too easy), and fill that in. It’ll ask a couple of questions about security—just answer them as you see fit.
    9. Next up is privacy settings, where you can say “no thanks” to everything you don’t want. Customize it to your liking. Then it’s just a matter of letting the system finalize the setup!
    10. Once it’s done, you’ll be greeted with the Windows 11 desktop, all fresh and shiny! You've officially installed Windows 11 with a local account for free, and you're all set to start using your machine.
