How can I enable BitLocker on my data drive?
I wish to encrypt my data drive with BitLocker (D:) in order to prevent data leak. However, I don't find the option from the Settings panel. I am running Windows 11 Home.
Thanks
- MuSubilitCopper ContributorYou can open File Explorer and navigate to "This PC." And right-click on your data drive (D:) and select "Turn on BitLocker." Follow the on-screen instructions to set up BitLocker encryption for your drive.
- On Windows 11 Home edition, BitLocker feature is not available.
If your device supports, you can enable Device Encryption instead, but this can enabled for entire system, not specific drive:

If you still want to enable BitLocker, you need to upgrade to Pro edition.
Hope this helps!
