    When I needed to turn some JPGs into ICONs for a project on Windows 11, I struggled with finding a decent tool that didn’t mess up the quality. Then I found Any2Pic (https://www.recodie.com/convert-jpg-to-ico) — it was exactly what I needed! Super easy, kept the images crisp, and best of all.

There is a free and open-source command line tool (GM) for converting JPG to ICON on Windows PC. It is a software suite for image conversion and editing. It was created to address some performance and stability issues in Windows 11 and Windows 10 by providing a more efficient and robust tool for handling various image formats. 

 

Here is a simple command to convert .jpg to .icon on Window 11 for free:

 

gm convert input.jpg output.ico

 

Also don't use the online JPG to ICON converters as they are not safe and take much more time for uploading and downloading!
