Shutter Encoder is an open-source multimedia tool and a powerful converter and editor. With its lossless merging feature, it’s ideal for learning how to merge videos in Windows 11. It supports batch video processing, which effectively boosts efficiency.
How to Merge Videos in Windows 11
- Once the download and installation are complete, launch the software.
- Drag and drop all video clips directly into the program window.
- Open the Select drop-down menu and choose the Merge option.
- Confirm the target output location for the merged video.
- Click the Start button to run the lossless merge task.
Disadvantages
- The wide range of advanced encoding parameters creates an additional learning curve for casual users.
- There are no simplified, one-click presets designed specifically for quickly merging videos.
- You need to manually configure hardware acceleration options to speed up the merging process.
This cross-platform, open-source tool can merge multiple separate video clips into a single, complete, lossless file without any loss of video quality due to re-encoding. It runs smoothly on Windows 11 and other major desktop operating systems and is ideal for everyday batch video merging and format conversion tasks.
Notes
- Do not close the software window completely until the merging progress bar has finished, to avoid corrupting the video files.
- Before starting any merging operation, save all original video files as backups.
- If you only need to perform basic, lossless video merging on Windows 11, skip adjusting the advanced codec settings.
