How can I bulk convert png to jpg on Windows 11 with the Photos app?
No, the Photos app on Windows 11 does not support batch conversion of images. It only allows you to convert one image at a time. For batch PNG to JPG conversion, you can use other tools instead.
I work in design and often need to convert different image formats. I have been using Any2Pic (https://www.uumeo.com/bulk-png-to-jpg) for two years and it is pretty good overall! I recommend you to try it!
Rheanson For me, the Paint app is my favorite app for converting PNG to JPG free on any Windows PC. I have been using it since Windows 7.
- Right-click on the PNG file you want to convert and select Open with > Paint.
- In the Paint app, click the File menu in the top-left corner.
- From the File menu, choose Save as and then select JPEG picture from the options.
- In the Save as dialog box, select the location where you want to save the file.
- Change the File name if needed, and ensure the Save as type is set to JPEG (*.jpg, *.jpeg, *.jpe, *.jfif).
- Once everything is set, click Save, and your PNG file will be converted to JPG.
This method allows for quick PNG to JPEG conversion using a simple built-in tool without the need for third-party software. 4o
It didn't work for me. I have a Win 11 laptop. When I right-click the file the 'Open With' menu does not appear. I tried a suggestion to open the file, highlight all of the images and then right-click for the 'Open with' menu but it does the same thing...it does not show an 'Open With' menu. It has 'Pin to quick Access', "Pin to Start' and 'Compress to' but, again, NO 'Open With' menu appears. With more than 60 images in the file, I really hate having to do each one manually.
PS. I tried to open Paint using an individual image. It works but it has a 'Share With' menu that opens Paint. When I highlight all of the images, I get the same result, No 'Share With' menu appears.
