How Can I Bulk Convert CR2 Images to JPG on my Windows 11 PC?
- Aug 22, 2024
I recently had the same hassle with a huge batch of CR2 photos from my Canon. I tried a few different options, but Any2Pic ended up being the easiest for what I needed. It handled over a thousand photos without freezing up, which was a relief since some tools just crash under that load. It’s completely offline, so I didn’t have to worry about uploading anything, and the image quality stayed solid in the conversion to JPG.
I followed this tutorial (worked for me):

Plus, it’s straightforward to use, even if you’re not super technical. If you’re dealing with a lot of CR2 files, it’s definitely worth a shot.
Lorenzosw The Photos app supports CR2 image on Windows 11. You can now use it for converting CR2 to JPG on Windows 11 for free.
- Locate the Photos app on your Windows PC by searching for it in the Start menu and open it.
- Once the Photos app is open, click on the "Import" button at the top right corner and select the CR2 file(s) from your computer that you want to convert.
- After importing, the CR2 file will appear in the Photos app. Double-click on the CR2 file to open.
- After editing, click on the "Save a copy" button. When prompted with the "Save As" dialog, choose JPG from the file format options and select the location where you want to save the converted file.
- Click “Save,” and your CR2 file will be converted and saved as a JPG file at the chosen location.
This method is free and convenient for basic CR2 to JPEG conversions on Windows 11, especially if you only need to convert a few CR2 files and don’t require advanced editing features.
