Backing up a large Android phone like your Samsung Galaxy S23 (over 100GB of photos, videos, and data) to your Windows 11 PC can be done effectively through both wired (USB) and wireless methods. Here are the best options tailored for your scenario:
Best method: Using Samsung Smart Switch
Samsung Smart Switch is a dedicated tool from Samsung designed for backing up and transferring data.
Wired Method Backup Android phone to PC :
- Download and install Samsung Smart Switch for Windows.
- Connect your Galaxy S23 via USB cable.
- Enable File Transfer mode on your phone if prompted.
- Open Smart Switch on your PC.
- Select Backup to start backing up your data (including photos, videos, apps, etc.).
- The initial backup might take some time due to large data size.
Wireless Method to Backup Android phone to PC:
- With your phone connected via USB initially, open Smart Switch.
- On your phone, enable Wireless Device Backup if available.
- Follow prompts to backup over Wi-Fi, but note that large data transfers might be slower.
Note: Smart Switch is good for full backups, but the process can be slow for very large data.
