Help me recover data from my old HDD (SATA 3.5")

Hi I recently found out my old home pc has stopped working, so I just pulled out my hdd as there are a lot of old family pic and vids on the drive. I connected it to my laptop, but the drive does not load properly on my laptop and occassionally causes my laptop to slow down (I'm using windows 11 on my laptop). Help me recover the data. Thanks!

    seems like drive might be failing, try to avoid using drive as per the current situation. try a data recovery scan, and make sure SATA is powered with USB . TRY TO RECOVER IMPORTANT FILES FIRST, IN CASE YOU ARE UNABLE TO DO IT, YOU NEED A PROFESSIONAL RECOVERY.
