If you're out of luck with the passwords, you'll need to go the more technical route, which, don't worry, is actually pretty straightforward! Here's how you can put your iPad in recovery mode after forgot an iPad password:
- Connect your iPad to a computer (Windows or Mac).
- Open iTunes on Windows or older Macs or Finder on macOS Catalina or later.
- While your iPad is connected, force restart it: For this, press and hold the Power and Home buttons together until you see the recovery mode screen.
- You'll get an option to either Restore or Update. Go ahead and hit Restore.
This wipes your iPad clean, along with the password. Just beware—it'll also erase all your data unless you have a backup!
