File History not working in Windows 11 for system backup. Any good alternative?
I've been trying to use File History on my Windows 11 PC, but it doesn't seem to work properly. Sometimes it fails to back up my files, and other times it doesn't recognize my external drive.
What I'm really looking for is a reliable backup solution that can save my entire system, including Windows, installed programs, settings, and personal files. I'd prefer something that can create a full system image and restore everything if my SSD fails or Windows stops booting.
Are there any good alternatives to File History for Windows 11? Free options would be great, but I'm also open to paid software if it's reliable and easy to use.

I use Clonezilla as an alternative when I want to create a full system backup instead of relying on Windows' built-in backup tools. If you're dealing with File History not working in Windows 11, it can be worth considering for a different approach to protecting your files and system. You can create a bootable USB, start your computer from it, select the source disk, and save a disk image to an external drive.
I recommend trying this if you want a complete disk image that you can restore later. It works offline and supports different drives, but the interface is text-based and takes some getting used to. Keep in mind that it creates disk images rather than repairing File History itself, so it's better suited to full-system backups.
