Failed to upgrade Windows 10 to Windows 11 23H2 on my PC
Before upgrading Windows 10 to Windows 11 23H2 on computer, check if any critical software or apps you rely on are compatible with Windows 11. I’ve had situations where apps stop working because they weren’t optimized for the new OS yet. Look up compatibility lists or check with the software manufactures. Make sure your internet connection is stable before you start the upgrade. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen an upgrade stall halfway because someone’s Wi-Fi dropped or wasn’t reliable. If you can, use a wired connection just to be safe.
Upgrading Windows 10 to Windows 11 23H2 can take a bit of time, and you don’t want to rush through the prompts or force a restart. Patience is key here; let it do its thing. I’ve once interrupted an installation thinking I could speed things up, and it ended badly. Just walk away for a bit and let it work. If you've had issues with activation after upgrading your motherboard or something, double-check your Windows activation status post-upgrade. Make sure everything’s still linked to your Microsoft account to avoid activation headaches.
