Failed to upgrade Windows 10 to Windows 11 23H2 on my PC

Upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 23H2 can be pretty straightforward, and I’m here to spill the beans on how you can do it for free!

Step 1: Check The Requirements
Before you dive in, make sure your PC can actually handle Windows 11. You’ll need:

• A compatible CPU (like Intel’s 8th-gen or AMD Ryzen 2000 and newer)
• TPM 2.0 (this is a little chip that helps with security)
• At least 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage
• DirectX 12 compatible graphics and a display with at least 720p resolution
• You can use the PC Health Check tool from Microsoft to see if your rig is good to go.

Step 2: Update Windows 10
Make sure your Windows 10 is up to date. Just hit Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and grab whatever updates are available. It’ll make your transition smoother!

Step 3: Get Windows 11
Here’s where it gets juicy. If you’ve confirmed your device is compatible:

• Go back to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and hit “Check for updates.”
• If Windows 11 is ready for ya, you’ll see the option to download and install it. Just click that bad boy!
• Follow the prompts, and before you know it, you’ll be blasting off into the Windows 11 stratosphere.

Step 4: Use Installation Assistant
If you don’t see the upgrade Windows 10 to Windows 11 23H2, you can use the Windows 11 Installation Assistant from Microsoft’s website:

• Download the Installation Assistant.
• Run it, and it’ll check if your system is good to go.
• If it is, hit the upgrade button and kick back while it does its magic.

Step 5: Clean Install
If you want a fresh start and you're feeling adventurous, you can also do a clean install:

• Download the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool from the Microsoft site.
• Choose “Create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file)” and follow the prompts.
• Boot from the USB or DVD and install Windows 11 from scratch. Just remember, this wipes your data!
