To choose from which device to boot on a MSI Gaming Pro Carbon X470, you need to press F11.
Some versions of Linux are 'clever' enough and detect when there is another OS, prompting a boot device choice automatically. But if that's not your case, then press F11 before you load into any OS and choose the disk you want to boot from.
