Drop shadow font effect on desktop icon labels
Example of what I'm talking about:
I didn't do that on purpose and don't know how it happened.
I can live with it, but I'd like to get rid of it.

In my experience, the performance and visuals settings in Windows are usually responsible for this effect. Turning off the "drop shadows" option in performance settings tends to do the trick.
