If you're unable to find a reliable source for the Windows 11 24h2 ISO download 64 bit and want to perform a clean installation without using the Media Creation Tool, you can directly download the official ISO file from Microsoft’s website. Here's how to do it:
Step 1: Confirm It's the Correct Version
- The ISO file's name will typically include the version number or build date, for example, something like Windows 11_22H2_English_x64.iso (or later builds with 24H2).
- If you want to be sure, after downloading, you can check the ISO's metadata or properties in Windows to verify the version.
Step 2: Create a Bootable USB Drive
- Use a tool:
- Insert an empty USB drive (at least 8GB).
- Open Rufus, select your USB drive.
- Click "SELECT" and choose the downloaded ISO file.
- Keep the default settings or set the partition scheme to GPT for UEFI systems.
- Click "START" to create the bootable installer.
Step 4: Perform the Clean Installation
- Insert the bootable USB into your PC.
- Restart and enter BIOS/UEFI (usually by pressing F2, F12, DEL, or ESC during startup).
- Change the boot order to boot from the USB device.
- Save and restart.
- Follow the on-screen instructions:
- When prompted, delete existing partitions if you want a completely clean install.
- Proceed with installing Windows 11 24H2 on the desired partition.
You can perform a clean installation by directly downloading the official Windows 11 24H2 ISO download 64 bit from Microsoft’s website, then creating a bootable USB, and installing Windows fresh.
