Dolby Vision has been removed from HDR options. Does anyone know which update removed it??

I'm posting this here as I tried posting in the official Windows 11 support forum, but my post has been pending approval for the last couple of days, so I figured I'd ask somewhere else.

Question:

What is going on with Dolby Vision (DV) on Windows 11!? DV was added to Windows 11, but there was a bug for months that forced it to be enabled every time HDR content was played, so you had to go into settings, then display, then HDR, and then disable DV.

Microsoft patched it, and now, all of a sudden, Dolby Vision doesn't seem to exist in the settings.

Can anyone tell me which update removed it, please? I want to remove the patch so I can use DV again.

    Microsoft acknowledged bugs related to DV, particularly that it would automatically enable whenever HDR content was played, causing user inconvenience.

    Finally i found out the registry value.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers\MonitorDataStore\"DeviceName"

    HdrFlavor=1 (HDR10)

    HdrFlavor=2 (DV)

    Unliike HDR10, Dobly vision is not natively controled by the windows HDR switch. It depends on GPU driver support (Intel/AMD/NVIDIA) an the dobly vision extensions app from the Microsoft stores. If either is missing or deprecated, the DV toggle disappears.

    If you want the old behaviour back ( where DV showed separately ), you'd need to uninstall the cumulative update that introduced the change, but Microsoft doesn't recommend it, since it'll also strip out security patches.
