Displaying Google Calendar Events on the Windows Taskbar Calendar

As a current Windows 10 user transitioning to Outlook, I'm curious if it's possible to display events from a connected Google Calendar account in the taskbar calendar (the one that pops up when you click the date). I'm not sure if this feature is the same or has an equivalent in Windows 11. If it's not directly possible, is there an alternative method to add Google Calendar to the taskbar besides using a classic shortcut to the website?

Short answer: no. On Windows 11 the taskbar calendar flyout (the one that opens when you click the clock) is just a date picker. The agenda list Windows 10 had was removed when Windows 11 shipped, and it doesn't matter where the events come from — Google, Outlook, anything. Nothing shows up there.

    What works natively today:

    - Widgets panel: add the Outlook Calendar widget. One click from the taskbar, but it only shows events from the account signed into Widgets, so your Google calendar has to be connected to that account first.

    - The new Outlook supports Google accounts directly, which is the cleanest way to get Google events into the Microsoft side of things.

    - Win + N opens Notification Center, and pinning Outlook or the Calendar app to the taskbar gets you close to a one-click habit.

On the roadmap: Microsoft announced an "Agenda view" for the taskbar calendar flyout at Ignite 2025, originally due in preview in December 2025. It slipped. In March 2026 Microsoft said it was still refining the experience and would preview it "in the coming months." As far as I can tell it still hasn't reached general availability, so I wouldn't plan around it. When it does land, it reads from the same data as the Calendar app, so a Google account would still need to be connected there.

Disclosure: I develop a third-party app in this space, so weigh this last part accordingly. ZefirCalendar is a tray app that puts Google Calendar, Outlook/Microsoft 365, iCloud and ICS feeds into a flyout next to the clock, with event creation and editing. Calendar Flyout is the other app people usually mention for this, and it's worth comparing before settling on either.
