Cumulative Update Preview
My snipping tool would capture audio but yielded a black screen when I used screen recording. I found a YouTube channel about the topic and the creator of the channel suggested that my Windows 11 might be out of date. I checked and saw that it said everything was up to date. At that time, I also saw "Cumulative Update Preview." Without thinking or researching, I hit "Download and Install." As it was downloading, I looked into the program and decided that I didn't want to get involved in this whole process. I quickly restarted my computer thinking that it would stop the download of the Cumulative Update Preview. Unfortunately, when the computer started up again so did the download....
When I searched my computer for "KB5055627," I got four results:
CompDB_KB5055627_bundle.xml
LCUCompDB_KB5055627.xml
outer.AggregatedMetadata_KB5055627.cab
Windows11.0-KB5055627-x64
The last one was a folder full of Manifest files, MUM files and Security Catalogs.
To officially install Cumulative Update Preview, a restart of my computer is required. I DO NOT want to install this program. Can I just delete the above-mentioned files/folders, and my computer will be back the way it was before the download? I'm hopeful (but kind of doubtful) that it would be that simple.

The files you found are part of the update package stored on your system, but simply deleting them won't undo an installation that's already in progress or prevent a scheduled update from installing if Windows has already started the process.

Cumulative updates are available by checking Preview Updates in Windows Update's advanced options
