Corrupted Hard drive

I have an older Dell Optiplex 7010 i7 running Windows 11 pro. One of the hard drives took a dump and after doing some tests I have determined that it is beyond repair. I have a 970 EVO Plus 500 gb ssd drive that I would like to install. I am a real beginner when it comes to installing a ssd in the correct order and migrating the OS. I need help with the correct boot order. I take directions well. I would appreciate any help, thanks!

You'd better clone the existing working hard drive (OS, programs, files, and all) directly to your new SSD. Then, we'll swap the drives and change the boot order. This is much easier and more reliable than trying to do a clean install of Windows and then migrating your data.
