Clock in taskbar hidden sometimes, but not always
Any help would be appreciated:
- Ordinarily, my Windows 11 taskbar has a clock (plus some widgets) at the bottom-right corner
- Although I have set the taskbar to auto-hide when I am not interacting with it, I find the clock feature very useful
- So I often glance at the clock by momentarily moving my mouse cursor to the bottom of the screen to un-hide the taskbar (including the clock)
- Recently (within the past couple weeks), this has mostly stopped working. When I move the cursor to the bottom of the screen, the taskbar un-hides but only the icons on the left are visible, not those on the right (including the clock).
- Occasionally, however, the correct version (with the clock etc. visible) is what will appear - both version are shown in screenshots below
- I have tried updating all of my drivers, applications, browsers & installing all Windows updates (including optional ones) as well as scanning my laptop for viruses & restarting the laptop several times, as well as restarting Windows Explorer specifically. Nothing has worked & the problem persists.
- I have not changed any Taskbar Behaviour setting recently
TIA to anyone who can explain this!🙏

When an app in your system tray has a notification or is frozen, it can prevent the entire right side of the taskbar from drawing correctly. Windows tries to show you the notification, gets stuck, and gives up—leaving you with a blank space.

I can definitely help you get to the bottom of this! This is a known and fairly common glitch in Windows 11 that many users have reported, especially after recent updates. The good news is that it's almost always fixable with a few simple steps, and your valuable data is not at risk.
