Clock app needs update on Windows 11?
Noticed a new button in taskbar: "focus", it opens this. Have they invented something new about clocks or why does it demand an update? Windows 11 is a joke.

The built-in system apps also have updates. This is normal!

Microsoft decided to integrate Focus Sessions into the Clock app, which is why it’s asking for an update. It’s basically a glorified Pomodoro timer with Spotify integration and To-Do list support. Nothing groundbreaking, just another way for them to push "productivity features" nobody asked for.
If you don’t care about it, you can just ignore the update or uninstall the Clock app via PowerShell:
powershell
Get-AppxPackage *WindowsAlarms* | Remove-AppxPackage
But knowing Windows, it'll probably sneak back in with another update. Classic Microsoft. 😆 - EverlynokcIron Contributor
System app like clock camera etc are preinstalled but they're just place holders before using them you need to update aka properly install them.

Microsoft regularly updates apps to introduce new features, and the addition of the "Focus" feature in the Clock app may require an update to access the latest functionalities.

It's common for users to have mixed feelings about major updates to operating systems. For some, the changes and additional features are beneficial, while others may find them unnecessary or cumbersome. If you’re encountering issues or are dissatisfied, you might consider providing feedback to Microsoft through the Feedback Hub app. They often take user feedback into account for future updates.
