Charging port that’s loose

My laptop's charging port has become loose, causing the power connection to cut in and out whenever the cable is nudged or moved even slightly. This makes it impossible to charge reliably and I'm worried the port or motherboard may eventually fail, so I'm looking for repair options or DIY fixes that don't require a full replacement.

Use a toothpick dipped in a small amount of alcohol to clean the inside of the charging port, and check whether either end of the charging cable is loose; if this does not resolve the issue, replace the DC jack or the charging module on the motherboard.

Use a small Phillips or Torx screwdriver to remove the screws securing the back panel or bottom cover.
