changing boot drive

I bought a new computer with a 512 GB SSD and installed the 1 TB SSD from my old computer as a data drive. The C drive now has only 52.9 GB free while the E drive has 806 GB free. How can I make the larger drive the boot drive without loosing all of the data on it. Should I clone C to E and recover all of my data from my external backup and Google Drive.

    Cloning is the process of making an exact, bootable copy of your entire drive (including your C: drive) onto another drive.

    So the 512GB SSD from the new PC is a C drive and the old 1TB drive is E drive?

    Maybe just move some apps/data from the C drive to E drive to get some free space. 

    Also check the speed of the two drives, if the new one is faster it's not worth moving all the sistem to the old one, as the system will perform better on a faster drive.
