Hi, this points to a UEFI boot configuration issue rather than Windows needing the old drive. Recreate the installer with Microsoft's Media Creation Tool, connect it directly to a rear USB port, and choose the entry labeled `UEFI: <USB name>` from the firmware boot menu. Confirm the new M.2 and the USB are both visible in BIOS, disable Legacy/CSM mode, and temporarily disconnect the old M.2 during installation. If the USB still shows a blank screen, reset UEFI defaults and update the BIOS. After Windows is installed, make sure Windows Boot Manager on the new drive is first in the boot order.
