Cannot log into profile on safe boot
Hi, all,
as the title suggests, I'm having trouble signing into my profile when launching Windows in safe boot. If I only have pin activated as form of login, the login screen will simply tell me that my password is unavailable and I cannot even type it in to confirm it. If I disable forced Windows Hello and attempt to enter my Microsoft account password, it will pretend that what I have entered is incorrect (I did ensure I entered the right password, tried it in-browser afterwards and got in immediately). Any idea on how to fix this?
Hi Anthonion,
Based on what you've described, I can suggest the following:
Is your device personal, or is it corporate and joining a domain?
Can you check the Windows Hello settings? Try resetting the PIN or disabling Windows Hello.
Can you check if there are any updates available?
Feel free to reach out and provide more information if needed.

If you are trying to log into your profile in Safe Mode, you can try booting into Safe Mode with Networking, which can provide additional functionalities. You can change this option via settings or from the Advanced Startup Options menu.
