Best way to cast iPhone screen to Mac as iPhone mirroring app not working
Mirroring your iPhone to MacBook is surprisingly seamless these days, thanks to Apple’s built-in AirPlay to Mac feature. Gone are the days of needing clunky third-party apps just to see your phone on a bigger screen.
This is the easiest method and works perfectly for sharing photos, presentations, or just browsing.
Requirements:
- iPhone: Running iOS 15 or later.
- Mac: Running macOS Monterey or later.
- Connection: Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network and signed into the same Apple ID.
How to screen cast iPhone on MacBook wirelessly
Step 1. On your iPhone: Swipe down from the top-right corner (or up from the bottom on older models) to open the Control Center.
Step 2. Tap the Screen Mirroring icon (two overlapping rectangles).
Step 3. Select your MacBook from the list of available devices.
Step 4. If prompted, enter the AirPlay passcode that appears on your Mac’s screen.
Tip: If your Mac doesn't show up, go to System Settings > General > AirPlay & Handoff on your Mac and make sure AirPlay Receiver is toggled ON.
