I don't want any of that complexity. I just need to snip [copy}, be able to see it and another open window simultaneously, and then paste (almost always into Paint.)
I don't understand the complaints about lack of editing functions. I merely open MS Paint, which I have on the Taskbar, hit Ctrl V, and do my editing in Paint. The snipping tools, including the wretched new one which comes with Win11 and which refuses to stay open, are not for editing, apart from a pen to annotate. That's like asking Calculator to write in prose.
It would be great if you had provided a link to get this, it's impossible to find.
