Any good Windows optimizer for Windows 11 for a beginner?
My Windows 11 PC (8GB RAM, 256SSD) has started to run slower lately, and I'm looking for a good Windows optimizer or cleanup tool that is safe and easy for beginners to use. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I would prefer something simple that can help clean junk files, improve performance, and maybe manage startup apps without risking damage to the system.
There seem to be a lot of options online, but I'm not sure which ones are actually trustworthy or useful. If anyone has recommendations for a reliable Windows optimizer for Windows 11, or tips on what features I should look for, I'd really appreciate the help.

The built-in Windows 11 PC Manager is a quite good Windows optimizer tool.

Your PC (8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) meets the official system requirements for Windows 11. However, modern Windows can often use 6-7GB of RAM just for the operating system, leaving very little for your own apps . The cleanup and startup management above will help significantly. If you find that the system still lags heavily when you open a web browser and a document, it is likely due to the 8GB RAM limit.
If you still insist on needing a Windows 11 computer optimizer. Winslopr might be able to be of assistance to you. That is a free, open-source utility specifically designed to remove the junk that slows down Windows 11—ads, telemetry, AI features (like Copilot) that run in the background eating up your 8GB of RAM, and preinstalled bloatware.
On the other hand. Excluding Windows 11 Computer Optimizer, the bloatware removal tool is particularly useful for you. It scans all the preinstalled Windows apps and lets you remove selected ones with checkboxes—no command line, no complicated scripting.

If you prefer to avoid installing any software at all (Including Windows optimizer for Windows 11), Windows 11 includes powerful native tools for optimization:
Startup Management: Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager → Startup tab → Disable unnecessary programs.
Storage Cleanup: Go to Settings → System → Storage → Turn on Storage Sense or click Cleanup Recommendations.
Disk Cleanup: Type "Disk Cleanup" in the Start menu, select your drive, and click "Clean up system files" to remove old Windows Update leftovers (often 5-20+ GB).
Without any Windows optimizer for Windows 11. Windows 11 has fancy animations and transparency effects that look nice but can make an 8GB RAM system feel sluggish. Turning them off can make everything feel snappier.
Disable Transparency Effects
1. Go to Settings > Personalization > Colors.
2. Toggle Transparency effects to Off .
Adjust for Best Performance
This turns off all the animations, fades, and shadows in one go.
1. Type "View advanced system settings" in the Start menu and open it.
2. Under the "Advanced" tab, click Settings under Performance.
3. Select "Adjust for best performance" and click OK.

If you prefer using a Windows optimizer for Windows 11 developed directly by Microsoft, Microsoft PC Manager is the best choice. It is completely free and designed specifically to improve PC performance with just one click. It works by cleaning up temporary files, managing startup apps, and even offering a "deep uninstall" feature to completely remove leftover files from deleted applications.
Key Features: Health check dashboard, deep uninstaller, disk analysis, RAM boost, and pop-up management.
Why Use It: As an official Microsoft tool, it integrates seamlessly without security risks and is very beginner-friendly.
As a Windows optimizer for Windows 11. When you uninstall a program through the Computer Manager, it will also search for and delete the usually remaining files and registry entries, thus ensuring a cleaner uninstallation process. This is an automatic feature that you can enable. When your system reaches a specific threshold, such as when temporary files exceed 1GB or when the memory usage is high, it will automatically perform "acceleration" processing.

What It Can Do for You if as Windows 11 computer optimizer:
1. Optimize Your System
Winhance organizes performance tweaks into easy categories like "Privacy," "Gaming," "Power," and "Windows Updates" . You can disable background telemetry, stop ads in the Start Menu, or squeeze extra performance out of your hardware with just a few clicks.
2. Remove Bloatware
Windows 11 comes with many pre-installed apps you might never use, like Xbox, Copilot, or OneDrive. Winhance lets you remove these with a single checkbox . Even better, it sets up a background task to ensure Windows Update doesn't quietly reinstall them later.
3. Customize Your Look
You can quickly switch the system to Dark Mode, clean up the Taskbar, or tweak File Explorer settings without digging through the complex Windows Settings menu.

Upgrade the RAM and internal SSD. 8GB is not enough for running Windows 11 now. This is the ultimate solution without using any Windows 11 computer optimization software!
Upgrading hardware can make the biggest difference when an older Windows 11 PC feels slow, especially if software cleanup no longer helps. Two of the most effective upgrades are adding more RAM and switching to an SSD.
More RAM helps your computer handle multitasking better. If your PC has only 4GB of memory, upgrading to 8GB or 16GB can reduce lag when using browsers, office apps, and multiple programs at once.
Replacing an old hard drive with an SSD usually delivers the most dramatic speed boost. Windows boots much faster, apps open quicker, and overall system responsiveness improves noticeably.
Before upgrading, check your computer’s hardware compatibility for supported RAM type, maximum memory capacity, and SSD form factor (such as SATA or NVMe). On many older PCs, these two upgrades can make the system feel significantly newer.
