After the recent update, the items in the explorer navigation pane became quite spread out
Below is the screenshot. Is there any way to fix this?
Open the options under file explorer, click on view, toggle "decrease space between items (compact view)" enjoy.

No, that’s not the right answer! Even with compact mode enabled, the space between the folders remains HUGE!
