Why is the "Encrypt contents to secure date" check-box not enabled? How do I enable the check-box?
EFS is available only in Windows 10/11 Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions. If you're using Windows 10/11 Home or Windows 7 Starter/Home, the encryption feature is not available, and the checkbox will be disabled.
