A few concerns about installing Windows 11
I've been using Windows 10 for quite awhile and my PC works great, but my computer will not run Windows 11 so I am looking at some laptops on Newegg. One thing I'm concerned about being able to connect the laptop to the internet. I have Wi-fi in my apartment on my desk, but I have heard that sometimes Windows 11 will not show the available wireless networks when you click on the icon or whatever in the lower right part of the taskbar.
The only thing I can think of to solve the issue would be to go on YouTube and start looking at videos of people talking about how to solve that problem. Any tips you can give me would be appreciated.
Something else is I like to wipe the hard drive clean and start with a fresh install of the operating system. But I saw a video that looked like you can simply delete all the partitions that Windows 11 is listing in the install window. So I thought that would be a faster way to clean up the hard drive. I do have KillDisk that I could run but it would take time to zero out a 1 Terabyte hard drive.
Any tips on that would be appreciated also.
If you're concerned about data security, and you want to make sure everything is wiped clean, using KillDisk or similar tools is best, though slower.

If you want to completely wipe the drive (including all data, including residual data), then tools like KillDisk are more thorough but take longer.

Windows 11 might have trouble with certain Wi-Fi adapters if drivers aren't fully compatible. Before buying, check if the Wi-Fi card or adapter in the laptop is Windows 11 compatible. You can verify this on the manufacturer’s website.
