‘Security Disaster’—500 Million Microsoft Users Say No To Windows 11
Many Microsoft users are expressing concerns over Windows 11, labeling it as a potential security disaster that puts their personal and professional data at risk. With over 500 million users affected, there is widespread skepticism about the operating system’s security features, privacy policies, and overall safety, leading to a significant number of users saying no to upgrading or fully trusting Windows 11. This growing apprehension stems from fears about vulnerabilities, data collection practices, and the possibility of increased cyber threats, which many believe could compromise their sensitive information. As a result, a large portion of the user community is hesitant to adopt Windows 11, demanding more transparency, better security measures, and assurances that their data will be protected in this new OS. I am looking for advice on how to mitigate these security concerns and whether there are safe ways to use Windows 11 without risking personal information.

If privacy is a concern, consider using a local account for logging into Windows instead of a Microsoft account, which can sync data across devices.

Review and customize Windows 11 privacy options to limit data collection and sharing. Disable telemetry and diagnostic data if possible.
