WWAN (cellular) module becoming permanently disabled after a Windows update

After a recent Windows 10 update, my built-in WWAN cellular module has become permanently disabled and no longer shows up in Device Manager or network settings. I've tried reinstalling drivers and checking BIOS, but the adapter remains completely undetected, as if the update physically killed the hardware.

If the hardware is physically damaged or the update caused a firmware failure, the module may need professional repair or replacement.
