Windows10 System speakers produce a popping sound when transitioning between audio tracks

The pop between tracks, plus improvement after restarting the driver or disabling enhancements, points to the audio endpoint being reinitialized or an enhancement/driver problem during stream changes. In Settings > System > Sound, select the output device and turn Audio enhancements off. Under More sound settings, open the device’s Advanced tab, choose one default format, and temporarily clear both exclusive-mode options. Test the files in applications and with headphones; this separates application behavior from the speaker or endpoint. Run the Windows audio troubleshooter, then install the PC manufacturer’s audio and chipset drivers. If the symptom began after a driver update, use Device Manager to roll back that driver rather than installing another package. Disable spatial sound for one test. If internal speakers pop while headphones remain clean, record the model and driver version and contact the manufacturer, because the amplifier’s power-state transition may require an OEM driver or firmware update.
