Windows 11 Pro upgrade from Windows 10 without losing data?

I have an old PC running Windows 10 Home. Is it possible to upgrade to Windows 11 Pro on this device? It comes with Intel i7 6500 CPU, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD and 1 TB HDD.  I downloaded the Windows 11 IS...

If your PC meets the hardware requirements, the easiest way to upgrade from Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 Pro is through Windows Update. Here's how to do it:

1. Check Compatibility

Before proceeding, ensure your PC is compatible with Windows 11. You can run the PC Health Check tool from Microsoft to verify this. If your system passes, you're good to go.

2. Backup Your Data

It's always a good idea to back up important files before any major update.

3. Verify Your Windows Activation

Go to Settings > Update & Security > Activation and confirm that your Windows 10 Pro is activated.

4. Open Windows Update

Navigate to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

Click Check for updates.

5. Look for the Windows 11 Pro upgrade?

If your device is eligible, you should see a message similar to "Upgrade to Windows 11 is ready" or "Windows 11 Pro upgrade?". This indicates that your device qualifies for the free upgrade.
