Windows 11 PC Experiencing Delayed Boot Time with Black Screen Before Login Prompt Appear

My child has been experiencing lengthy restart issues with his PC for quite some time now. Despite appearing to shut down normally and quickly rebooting, the screen remains black for an unusually long period before showing the Windows login. This delay can last anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes, sometimes even longer.

We have tried troubleshooting the problem multiple times, only to put it on hold out of frustration and revisit it on another day. It has been several months since we first encountered this issue. While I may not remember all the steps we've taken so far, I will update this post with any relevant information as it comes to mind. I recall running the DISM CheckHealth, ScanHealth, and RestoreHealth functions but forgot to run the SFC. I will have my child run that in the morning.

Any additional suggestions or insights are greatly appreciated. I am willing to provide more details to assist anyone in troubleshooting this matter. Thank you all for your help!

Long delays during Windows startup, especially on shutdown and reboot, can be caused by a variety of factors, including hardware issues, driver problems, system corruption, or background processes. Since you've already run DISM's CheckHealth, ScanHealth, and RestoreHealth, and plan to run SFC, you're on the right track.
