Windows 10 Start Menu Missing App Icons
Click on the Windows icon -> select all apps, then hover over the app you need, right-click (context) -> add to start screen, then repeat to other apps one by one and you're all 🙂

Thanks for your quick reply. If I click on the windows icon the apps don't show up. That seems to be the problem, the apps are no longer showing in the start menu. I have to go into the program files and locate the apps to launch them. Even though they are installed and can run them manually, they don't show up in the start menu. Is there a way to re-register all installed apps in the start menu?
Can you open the Microsoft Store app and download the update there?
