Windows 10 keeps forcing Edge even after I set Chrome as default
Every time Windows 10 does an update, it resets my default browser back to Edge. I've set Chrome as default more times than I can count, but the next patch comes through and it's back to Edge again. ...
This is the sneakiest culprit. Open Edge, go to Settings > Default Browser, and turn off the "Protect default browser setting" toggle . If you don't do this, Edge will keep silently overriding your choice.
