Windows 10 freezes
Windows 10 stops responding to mouse and key board. Only way to get it going again is to unplug it then plug it back and restart.
Not BOSD what is on screen stays on but will not respond.

This type of freezes is often due to hardware-related issues, driver conflicts, or system resource hangs rather than typical software crashes or BSODs.
The causes can be multiple things:
- If USB input devices stop responding , it may be a USB controller freeze or Selective Suspend issue.
- GPU hanging can freeze the desktop without showing a BSOD. The display remains but input is frozen.
- If I/O hangs ( especially on older SSDs or HDDs), Windows can freeze entirely.
- Thermal lockups can freeze input without crashing the system.
- Sudden lockups with no error often point to hardware degradation.
You should check the following :
- Look for Event ID 41 ( unexpected shutdown) , Event ID 6008 (improper shutdown)
- Update the drivers from the OEM sites including chipset driver, USB controller drivers and graphic drivers.
- Disable USB selective Suspend.
- Run system file check.
