Windows 10 Account Reauthentication PIN pop-up whenever I switch user accounts

I use two different Windows online (MSFT) accounts on my system for different work purposes, and both are MSFT accounts because I have to use OneDrive & Office packages (Word, Excel, etc) tied to them

Recently, when switching (Sign-out) from my account to the other account (Sign-in), then switching (Sign-out) from the other account to my account (Sign-in)
Always getting the reauthentication PIN prompt like this

Most likely, the PIN pop-ups are related to Windows security policies or credential cache issues. Resetting or removing and re-adding your PIN, cleaning stored credentials, and adjusting sign-in policies can help reduce or eliminate the prompts.

If the issue only occurs after switching, consider creating a new local user account and linking the MSFT accounts anew to see if the problem persists.

Windows may have security policies that require re-authentication when switching accounts, especially if accounts are linked to different Microsoft credentials or if certain security settings are enabled (like "Require Windows Hello or PIN for sign-in" or "Always ask for password on sign-in").

Since both accounts are MSFT accounts tied to OneDrive & Office, some prompts are normal for security. However, persistent PIN prompts upon switching are unusual and can often be fixed with the above steps.
