Win10 Calculator app opens but remains blank for several seconds before displaying numbers
When you launch the Calculator app from the Start menu or the taskbar, the window pops up but remains blank for 3 to 5 seconds before the buttons and numbers appear.
During this time, clicking anywhere on the interface produces no response. This issue occurs more frequently after the system has been running for several days. Reinstalling the Calculator app via PowerShell does not resolve this delay.

Calculator eventually renders, and reinstalling it did not change the delay, so the package exists; startup contention, Store components, or system corruption is more likely. Install Windows updates, then open Microsoft Store > Library and update Calculator and Store. In Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Calculator > Advanced options, choose Repair and test. If it remains delayed, choose Reset, understanding that this clears Calculator’s local data. Restart Windows and watch Task Manager while opening Calculator, sorting by CPU and Disk to identify a competing process. Test in a clean boot; if Calculator opens normally, re-enable non-Microsoft services and startup apps in groups to find the conflict. Run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and then sfc /scannow from an elevated Command Prompt. Test a new Windows user account. If every account shows the same delay, submit Feedback Hub data with the Windows build, Calculator version, and Task Manager observation.
