Why I can't login Windows 10 even with the correct password?
Can't login to windows 10? First things first, make sure you're entering the correct password. Seriously, we've all been there, typing our passwords incorrectly or forgetting caps lock is on. If you've got a Microsoft account, you can reset your password online:
- Go to account,live.com/password/reset.
- Follow the prompts to reset it. After you reset, you should be able to log in with your new password.
1. If you’re proactive and made a password reset disk previously (kudos to you!), here’s how you can use it:
* Insert your password reset disk.
* On the login screen, click on “Reset password”.
* Follow the wizard to create a new password.
2. Sometimes, a little troubleshooting can do wonders! Booting into Safe Mode can allow you to log in with minimal drivers and services running:
* On the login screen, hold Shift and click on the Power icon → Restart.
* After your computer restarts, you’ll be on the Choose an option screen. Select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
* When it restarts, press F5 for Safe Mode with Networking.
3. If the above methods are a no-go and you just can’t get in, you might consider resetting Windows. This can often solve underlying issues, and there are options to keep your files:
*On the login screen, hold Shift and click Restart.
*Go to Troubleshoot > Reset this PC.
*Choose Keep my files if you want to preserve personal files (but be aware that some apps will be lost).
4. If you created a recovery drive before getting locked out, you can boot from this and access recovery options:
* Insert the recovery USB and restart your PC.
* Press the appropriate key to access the boot menu and select the USB drive.
* Choose Repair your computer, and follow the prompts.
If you’ve tried everything and still can't login to Windows 10, sometimes it’s best to let the pros take over. Microsoft Support can provide assistance directly. Check their website for chat support or phone options.
