Why I can't download Windows 10 ISO as it keeps failing
Repeated ISO download failures are not always caused by the browser itself. An interrupted connection, insufficient disk space, or a temporary problem obtaining the download link can also stop a large ISO file before it finishes. Mido offers another way to handle Why I can't download Windows 10 ISO by retrieving the current download from Microsoft servers and supporting interrupted downloads.
Troubleshooting Why I can't download Windows 10 ISO
Step 1: On Windows, make sure WSL is available, since the tool is a shell script and does not run as a regular Windows desktop application.
Step 2: Download Mido.sh from the official GitHub repository and save it in a folder with enough free space for the ISO.
Step 3: Open your WSL terminal, navigate to the folder containing the script, and start the Windows 10 x64 download with:
./Mido.sh win10x64
Step 4: Let the script obtain a current download link and begin downloading the ISO from Microsoft servers.
Step 5: If the connection is interrupted, run the download again so the tool can attempt to resume it rather than starting the entire file from the beginning.
Step 6: After the download finishes, check the verification result before using the ISO to create installation media.
Make sure several gigabytes of free disk space are available before starting. Microsoft can also temporarily restrict repeated automated download requests, so repeatedly restarting the process within a short period may cause another failure.
