Why I can't change windows 10 administrator password?
Hi all, I'm experiencing a lost administrator password issue on my Windows 11 computer and have tried unsuccessfully to change it through the password reset option that comes with the system and through Safe Mode.
Since I didn't create a password reset disk or bind a Microsoft account in advance, I can't log in to the system now. Is there any other feasible solution to change windows 10 administrator password without data loss? I hope I can get detailed operation instruction, thanks!
Additional Note: There are important files in the computer, so I don't want to reinstall the system or reset resulting in data loss.

When I first got wind of Windows 11, I was super excited to try it out. But then I hit the wall of TPM and Secure Boot. At first, I was frustrated, thinking, "What the heck! I've got a decent PC!" After some digging, I realized how important those features are for security and performance. If you have another user account with administrative rights, you can use the Command Prompt to change Windows 10 administrator password: net user "username" newpassword. Replace "username" with your admin username and newpassword with the new password.
As a last resort, if you're completely locked out and cannot regain access to your admin account, you might consider reinstalling Windows. This process typically leads to data loss, so always make backups when possible.

Changing Windows 10 administrator password can seem like a straightforward task, but there are definitely some downsides to keep in mind. From my experience. You change your password, thinking you've picked something secure and memorable, but then a few days later, it's like your brain hits a reset button. I’ve had moments where I changed my password and then completely blanked out on what I chose. If that happens, you're basically locked out of your own system. Not fun at all!
You might think everything's all set after changing Windows 10 administrator password, but sometimes those devices don’t sync right away, especially if your network isn’t great. I changed my password once, and it took what felt like ages for my other devices to catch up. It was like waiting for a train that was running late, and I got super frustrated.
After changing Windows 10 administrator password, there’s a chance you could accidentally mess up your account settings. I had a friend who changed their password and then found themselves suddenly stripped of admin privileges—not ideal if you need access to certain features or settings. Make sure you double-check that your account is still set up right after the change!

Microsoft offers an extremely advantageous service for changing Microsoft account passwords online. It is an official service that is completely free of charge, does not require the installation of any software, can be operated through a browser, and can be managed remotely without direct access to the computer interface. The service's web page has a simple design and a clear process, the password change takes only a few seconds and the synchronization of the changed passwords across devices and services depends on the network conditions. This method is only applicable to change Windows 10 password password associated with Microsoft account, but not if the administrator account is a local account.
1. Go to the login page in your browser, tap Sign in, and enter your Microsoft account email and password.2. Tap Security at the top, and tap Change Password.
3 Enter the current password, then enter the new password, confirm again, and tap Save. This will change Windows 10 administrator password after forgot.
4. Return to Windows 10, connect to the network, press Windows + L to log out, log in with the new password, and the system will automatically synchronize.
5. Finally, confirm that you can access the system with administrator privileges.
Common Problems and Solutions:
1. Cannot log in to Microsoft account: Click "Forgot password" to reset. You need have the recovery email or phone number to receive the verification code.
2. Windows is not synchronized: Check the network connection and retry to log in.
3. Lost privileges after change: Make sure the account is still administrator.

Ophcraack + Rufs for changing Windows 10 administrator password.
After reading the post, there are two software programs that can help you, Ophcraack and Rufus. When using these programs, you need to pay attention to the following points: you need to have a USB flash drive with a capacity of at least 2GB, and you need to download the Windows 10 ISO file in order to change Windows 10 admin login password.
Step 1: Insert an empty USB drive to open Rufus, select the USB drive, load the Ophcraack ISO file, click Start, and wait for the program to complete.Step 2: Reboot the computer, press F2/Del to enter BIOS, set USB as the preferred boot device, save and exit. Then we can reset the password to do so, the computer boots from USB, enter the Ophcraack interface, automatically detect the Windows 10 account, select the administrator account
Step 3: Tap Crack to view the password, or select Change to enter a new password, save the changes, and reboot the computer.
Step 4: Remove the USB, start Windows, log in with the new password and confirm administrator privileges.
Using Ophcraack to change Windows 10 local administrator account password, Rufus is responsible for writing Ophcraack's ISO file to USB flash drive as a boot disk, which is a good experience. Ophcraack recognizes and processes passwords quickly and intuitively, and can quickly restore account access rights. Overall, they work well together and effectively solve the problem of forgotten passwords.

Enter the current password (if any), enter the new password, confirm again, and tap Next.4. Tap Finish, the password will be changed and take effect immediately.
5. Log off (press Windows + L) and log in with the new password to ensure that you can access the administrator rights properly.
Note:
The premise of using this method is to know the current password, if you forgot Windows 10 administrator password, you can not use this trick to change Windows 10 admin password, it only applies to local accounts, Microsoft accounts need to use other ways to change the password, and this method has a single function, you can only change the
