Why did 7-Zip fix my 0x80010135 zip extraction error?

The 0x80010135 error is Windows' way of saying the file path is too long. Windows has a legacy limit that the full path to a file—including the drive letter, all folder names, and the file name itself—cannot exceed 260 characters.
