Who came up with the idea of adding swipe gestures to media players?
Whenever I drag or resize the window, the play/pause button is accidentally triggered, which is really annoying.

Turn off or adjust multi-finger gestures that might be triggering media controls.
This is the most important step. The official 2.8.1 release is outdated and contains many bugs that have been fixed since. Switch to the latest 2.8.2 nightly build from the official Avidemux website (the vsWin64 or win64 folders), which is much more stable and may handle window resizing more smoothly.
